你好，我是数据保护功能的新手。我已经完成了将虚拟机迁移到另一个nutanix集群的测试。问题是在迁移之后，源上的虚拟机将被销毁。我计划使用数据保护将虚拟机从源集群迁移到目标集群。我需要将虚拟机恢复到源虚拟机。能否恢复源站点的虚拟机?

Hey,\u00a0@swee han<\/user-mention>\u00a0Happy new year firstly.\":smile:\"\u00a0 Definitely you can restore the VM on the source site if that VM is protected and part of a Protection Domain and has snapshots being taken regularly at Source or Destination sites.<\/p>

So bsaically\u00a0there are two things after a failover\u2026you can do a failback using Protection Domain migrate option on the source site or Protection Domain activate option on the destination site. You can also bring up the\u00a0VM from the latest snapshots on the destination site.<\/p>

You can also create a clone instead of restoring from snapshot.<\/p>

Hi, I\u2019m new on the Data protection feature. I\u2019ve done the a test VM migration to another nutanix cluster. The thing is after the migration, the VM on the source will be destroyed. I\u2019m planning to use the Data protection to migrate the VM from the source cluster to the target cluster. I would need to failback the VM to the source VM. 嘿, @swee汉先祝新年快乐。微笑:如果源站点上的虚拟机受保护且属于保护域，并且在源站点或目的站点上定期进行快照，则可以对该虚拟机进行恢复。

因此，基本上在故障转移之后有两件事……您可以使用源站点上的保护域迁移选项或目标站点上的保护域激活选项进行故障恢复。也可以从目标站点的最新快照中调出虚拟机。

您还可以创建一个克隆，而不是从快照恢复。
