Does anybody encountered this kind of error? when migrating ESXI to AOS.

After how many hours of seeding, It show this error. However it is ready to cutover, but doesn’t want to proceed further because of this error.
I already checked this VM in EsXi, it already have a VMware tools installed.

Hope i can get ideas and recommendations from you guys.

Thanks!

May I know what is the MOVE and the AOS version? What is the ESXI version? What is the OS version running on the VM? Where is the VM running now? Is it on ESXI or AHV?

You can try to re-install the VMware tool again and then re-initiate the migration if the VM is still running in the ESXi. Sometimes VMware tool get crashed while migrating the VM.

 • Go to vCenter > Find the VM and run the VMware Tools in the VM again

 • Once it is started, retry the failed migration from the Move

post__content__best_answer"}">

Thanks again for responding to my Question, Actually the VM is already migrated to AOS. What i did is, I discard/delete the existing policy with error then created a new migration policy and rerun from the start, Until the VM is ready to Cutover, VM was successfully migrated to AOS without Error. I don’t get it why i came up with error on the first attempt. i didn’t do the re-installation of VMware tools.

Thank you @CarloNXfor confirmation. If the VM was successfully migrated to AHV then the migration activity was successful, could be the VMware tool got crashed while migration. The steps you followed was correct. If the issue is resolved then please close this thread by clicking the “best answer”
