标准股票vs分布式股票

我阅读了支持和见解页面。

分布式共享或导出是一个用户的个人文件的存储库，标准共享是一个组共享的存储库。分布式共享或导出分布在顶级目录，而标准共享是在单个文件服务器VM (FSVM)上。”

这是否意味着，如果我为100个用户创建一个名为“Shared”的标准共享，那么所有100个用户都将访问单个FSVM ?

为什么我不想创建分布式的“共享”来分散负载呢?

我们的第一个Files设置将D$作为唯一一个已分发的顶级共享。其他股票低于此标准。有什么问题吗?不知道我们为什么这么做，也不知道我们是否完全理解。至少下面的D$与共享类似于Windows文件服务器。

A few years back when we first setup our first Files cluster (and File Analytics) there were some differences in terms of what capabilities & features Standard \/ Distributed Share could support.<\/p>

Since then, much <\/em>improvements\/feature parity has been done to eliminate\/improve these\u2026<\/p>

Regardless of my notes, please review the Files and Files Analytics documentation & release notes to confirm my statements.<\/p>

(i.e. these notes\/statements may be dated but were valid at one point):<\/p>

Distributed shares<\/p>

  • Could NOT have any files\u00a0in the root of the share<\/li>\t
  • MMC.exe could NOT be used to manage it (must use Nutanix Files Snap-In)<\/li>\t
  • Nested Shares were supported<\/li>\t
  • Files Analytics wouldn\u2019t collect stats for sub-shares - I believe with the newest Files Analytics this is now <\/em><\/strong>supported (double check it pls)<\/li>\t
  • From my own testing the Default permissions are
    \tDomain Admins: Full Control
    \tDomain users: Read Only\u00a0<\/strong>(Standard share would set this to \u201cFull access\u201d
    \tCreator Owner: Full Control<\/li>\t
  • Encryption as of Files 3.5<\/li>\t
  • Couldn\u2019t create Folders with Explorer in the top level of the share (May have be available with newer Files as of 3.5+)<\/li><\/ul>

    Standard shares<\/p>

    • Can\u2019t be converted to a Distributed share<\/li>\t
    • Can have files in the root of the share<\/li>\t
    • Use both mmc.exe (shared folders plugin) AND Nutanix Files plugin to be managed<\/li>\t
    • Encryption as of Files 3.5<\/li>\t

I read the Supports and Insights page.<\/p>

\u201cA distributed share or export is the repository for the personal files of a user, and a standard share is the repository shared by a group.\u00a0 A distributed share or export is distributed at the top-level directories while standard shares are on a single file server VM (FSVM).\u201d<\/p>

Does that mean if I create a standard share called \u201cShared\u201d for 100 users, all 100 users would be hitting a single FSVM for access?<\/p>

Why wouldn\u2019t I want to create \u201cShare\u201d as distributed in order to spread the load?<\/p>

分布式的股票

  • 在共享的根目录中不能有任何文件
  • MMC.exe不能用来管理它(必须使用Nutanix文件管理- in)
  • 支持嵌套共享
  • Files Analytics不会为分股收集统计数据——我相信最新的Files Analytics是这样的现在支持(请仔细检查)
  • 从我自己的测试默认权限是
    域管理员:完全控制
    域用户:只读(标准共享会将此设置为“完全访问”
    创造者所有者:完全控制
  • 加密作为文件3.5
  • 无法在共享的顶层用资源管理器创建文件夹(可能在3.5以上的新文件中可用)
